El Rey del Mundo Introduces Appointment Line

Scandinavian Tobacco Group is expanding its El Rey del Mundo brand with a new line called Appointment, produced in conjunction with the Eiroa family of Honduras. The new cigars will be out soon, and are scheduled to begin shipping to retailers on April 14.
El Rey del Mundo Appointment is rolled with a Sumatra-seed wrapper grown by the Eiroas on farms they own in Honduras’ Jamastran Valley. Inside are Ecuadoran and Nicaraguan fillers held together by a Connecticut broadleaf binder. According to the company, the blend is medium-bodied in of strength. It's made in Honduras at STG's HATSA factory.
Shipping in boxes of 20, Appointment comes in three sizes: Robusto, measuring 5 inches by 50 ring gauge ($8.79); Toro, 6 by 54 ($9.19); and Gordo, 6 1/2 by 60 ($9.49).
This is not the first collaboration STG has done with the Eiroas. Last year, they made a limited-edition El Rey del Mundo called Punch Golden Era line. Both of those cigars are made entirely from Honduran tobaccos grown by the Eiroas, and they are also rolled at the Eiroa’s Fabrica de Puros Aladino S.A. factory in Honduras.
