Gold Star Returns As Regular-Production Brand

It was a limited edition that came and went, but United Cigars’ Gold Star brand is returning to market as a standard line with a new look and blend.
First introduced in 1995, Gold Star was dormant for years until 2024 when the brand was ligero and broadleaf for added body and strength.
Like last year’s limited edition, Gold Star is made in the Dominican Republic at the Tabacalera William Ventura factory. The regular-production line is available in three sizes: Robusto, measuring 5 inches by 52 ring gauge ($12); Toro, 6 by 54 ($13); and Gordo, 6 1/2 by 60 ($14). All come in black boxes of 20 cigars.
According to the company, Gold Star is aged for one year after rolling and the blend is intended to be medium in body.
Gold Star will be shipping to select retailers in March, with a larger release scheduled to follow the PCA trade show in April.
