Rocky Patel Thirtieth Anniversary Smoke

Rocky Patel is celebrating 30 years in the cigar business with the release of Rocky Patel Thirtieth Anniversary, a three-size line of box-pressed cigars rolled with well-aged tobaccos. The cigars will sell for $17 to $19 each.
The anniversary smokes are dark, rolled with wrapper grown in Mexico’s San Andrés Valley. There are two binder leaves from Nicaragua, leaves the company says have more than seven years of age. Underneath is a filler blend of Honduran and Nicaraguan tobaccos, aged more than five years. The line will consist of a Robusto (5 1/2 inches long by 50 ring gauge, with a suggested retail price of $17), a Toro (6 1/2 by 52, $18) and a Sixty (6 by 60, $19).
The cigars are rolled in Nicaragua, at Patel’s Tavicusa factory, and they aren’t intended to be mild—the company says they are medium to full in body.
This new line is part of a company-wide rebranding at Rocky Patel, and the Thirtieth will be the first box to debut the new design. It will be unveiled in April at the PCA trade show in New Orleans, with shipments to commence by August.
