Say Hello To My Little Humidor!

Nearly 30 years ago, Universal Studios released Scarface, the Al Pacino film about Cuban-born hoodlum Tony Montana who becomes a Miami cocaine warlord who gets the money, gets the power and gets the woman. In the end he goes down in a dramatic blaze of glory, shouting "Say hello to my little friend!" while uncorking a grenade launcher to try to fight off a veritable army of attackers.
The movie has taken on cult status, and as the 30th anniversary of the 1983 film approaches, Universal has turned to humidor maker Danny Marshall to create 1,000 limited-edition, numbered Scarface humidors.
Each piece is hand painted and finished in white lacquer, polished with what Marshall calls his "1,000 coat brilliant finish." At the center of the top of the lid is an elaborate custom medallion with an intertwined T and M for Tony Montana, a pair of griffins at the bottom, making it look like a coat of arms from a king of old. Silk-screened in gold type on the front of the box is Montana's mantra from the film: The World is Yours.
The brass hinges are covered in 24-karat gold, and the inside of the lid has a small black and gold medallion showing the number of the individual humidor. There's a lift-out tray and four movable partitions, and the untreated Spanish cedar interior can hold about 100 cigars.
The humidor comes with a limited-edition Blu-Ray disc with collectible packaging, ten art cards that were designed by fans, a digital copy of the 1983 film and a DVD of the original 1932 Scarface.
The piece will be unveiled at the International Cigar & Pipe Retailers Trade Show next month in Las Vegas. The humidor package will retail for a penny shy of $1,000.
