A Limited-Edition El Rey Del Mundo Made by JRE Tobacco Co.

A new El Rey del Mundo is heading to retailers and it’s made by a prominent producer of Honduran cigars. Brand owner Scandinavian Tobacco Group has turned to JRE Tobacco Co. to make the latest version of its El Rey del Mundo brand, a limited edition called King of the World. The regally-themed cigar began shipping to retailers earlier this week.
Consisting entirely of Honduran tobacco grown by the Eiroa family on their farms in the Jamastran Valley, King of the World is rolled with a Corojo binder in between a Habano-seed wrapper and Habano-seed filler (a first for the El Rey del Mundo brand). It comes in one size, a Toro measuring 6 inches by 50 ring gauge, and has a suggested retail price of $9.99 each. The name is self-referencing, as El Rey del Mundo translates to “King of the World.”
According to the company, King of the World is a medium-bodied blend.
El Rey del Mundo King of the World is made at the Eiroas’ Fabrica de Puros Aladino S.A. factory in Honduras with production limited to 2,000 boxes of 16 cigars.
This is not the first collaboration STG has done with JRE Tobacco Co. Last year, JRE made the Punch Golden Era line which also consists entirely of Honduran tobaccos grown by the Eiroas. Typically, El Rey del Mundo cigars are produced at STG’s HATSA factory, also in Honduras.
El Rey del Mundo is distributed by STG’s subsidiary Forged Cigar Co.
