“Alec Bradley Fine & Rare BCN-143 is one of the final blends that Alec and I developed with Alan Rubin,” says Bradley Rubin, referring to remained with the company, becoming a brand ambassador for STG after the acquisition. “It embodies our ion for exceptional tobacco and our commitment to carrying the brand forward with STG.”
The 2023 Fine & Rare BCN-143 is a box-pressed Churchill (7 inches by 50 ring gauge) and is composed of a Honduran Criollo ’98 wrapper grown in the Trojes region; two binders (one Honduran from Trojes and one Nicaraguan from Estelí); and a filler blend of the following tobaccos:
- Honduran Criollo ’98 from Jamastran
- Nicaraguan Criollo ’98 from Jalapa
- Honduran Criollo ’98 from Trojes
- Honduran Corojo ’99 from Trojes
- Honduran Corojo from Jamastran
- Nicaraguan Corojo ’99 from Jalapa
The filler tobaccos come from both viso primings, combining for a blend of 10 different leaves.
Packaged in 10-count boxes, each Fine & Rare BCN-143 cigar will have a suggested retail price of $25.99. Only 2,500 boxes are being produced.
With the exception of an errant year, Fine & Rare has been a consistent annual release since it debuted in 2011. It always contains 10 different tobaccos—the hallmark of the brand—but the size sometimes changes each year. Despite being now owned by STG, Fine & Rare is still made in Honduras at the Raices Cubanas factory in Danlí.
