Alec Bradley Project 40 Maduro Shipping Next Month

Alec Bradley is set to release Project 40 Maduro, the follow-up to last year’s high-scoring, budget-friendly Project 40 line, and said it will begin shipping globally to retailers next month.
The Project 40 Maduro line follows the same motivational principle that the natural version was named after where each individual is in control of their own happiness. For those who believe in Project 40, happiness is 50 percent genetics, 10 percent circumstantial and 40 percent through your own initiative such as physical well-being, leadership or creative outlets. In this instance, Alec Bradley believes that happiness is found in a cigar for an affordable price.
“Project 40 Maduro is another opportunity for Alec Bradley to enhance a positive experience through the tradition of cigar smoking,” said brand owner Alan Rubin in a press release. “Project 40 Maduro is the next chapter of the story.”
Retailing under $7 per cigar, the line will come in three vitolas that are named after their dimensions: 05.50, which measures 5 inches by 50 ring gauge ($5.75); 06.52, 6 by 52 ($6.25); and 06.60, 6 by 60 ($6.50). Instead of the white and blue bands of the natural version, the maduro version will be clad in maroon and gold bands.
The cigars are rolled with a Mexican San Andrés maduro wrapper, Brazilian Habano binder and Nicaraguan fillers. According to the company, the cigars will be medium-full in strength.
Alec Bradley Project 40 Maduro is produced at the J. Fuego Cigar Co. de Nicaragua factory in Estelí and will be shipping in 24-count boxes.
The natural Project 40’s 06.52 size was part of Cigar Aficionado’s Top 25 as the a spot on the 2019 Best Buys list, including the first and second places.
