Alec Bradley’s Filthy Hooligan And Shamrock Return

It’s only a month until St. Patrick’s Day, when everything turns green from clothing, to beer to even cigars. Alec Bradley began celebrating a bit early on February 1 by shipping the Alec Bradley Black Market Filthy Hooligan and Filthy Hooligan Shamrock, a pair of candela leaves as green as the Emerald Isle.
The limited-edition cigars are both made in the same 6-by-50 Toro format and feature the same interior tobaccos: an Ecuador Sumatra binder over a mix of Honduran and Panamanian fillers. Each cigar is rolled with alternating light and dark wrapper leaves winding down the length resulting in an effect evoking the decorative poles outside a barber shop, but the wrappers aren’t the same on both cigars. The two-tone Shamrock ($15.09) goes one step further by incorporating a third leaf of Nicaraguan Habano, which has a more brownish shade.
“We can’t help but share in the excitement around Filthy Hooligan and Filthy Hooligan Shamrock every year,” says Bradley Rubin, brand ambassador for Alec Bradley. “Their iconic candela barber pole offers a fresh change of pace as spring approaches and outdoor cigar season kicks off. It gives everyone something to look forward to, and we are honored to deliver this unique and incredible smoking experience to our fans yet again in 2025.”
Production is limited on both of these smokes: there are 1,870 boxes of 24 for the Filthy Hooligan, and 1,489 boxes of 10 for the Shamrock. Both cigars are produced by the Plasencias at the Tabacos de Oriente factory in Danlí, Honduras.
