Ashton Ships La Aroma de Cuba Pasión
The newest brand from Ashton Distributors, La Aroma de Cuba Pasión, is now shipping. Entirely Nicaraguan, the line comes in six sizes, and features a Cuban-seed, shade-grown wrapper.
The cigars, which retail from $10 to $11.50, are made under the watchful eye of the Garcia family, owners of My Father Cigars, and the family behind many Ashton products, including San Cristobal and several other lines of La Aroma de Cuba cigars.
Now the sixth brand in the La Aroma de Cuba series, Pasión cigars are a little late to market. Ashton had hoped to have the cigars on sale by August, but they started shipping last week.
“The initial response to the brand has been very strong,” said Sathya Levin of Ashton. “We’ve been taking pre-orders for the last two months, and the number of pre-orders we received is greater than three times the quantity of boxes that arrived from the factory on our inaugural shipment. We anticipate receiving monthly shipments, filling backorders, and spreading the product across the country for the remainder of the year.”
The core La Aroma de Cuba brand was first made in Honduras when it debuted in 2002, but Mi Amor tend to score well in the pages of Cigar Aficionado, often appearing on the annual Top 25 list.
