Avo Expressions Coming In April

Music has been at the heart of Davidoff’s Avo brand, as its founder, accomplished jazz musician who often played piano while puffing on a cigar. In keeping with the musical theme (but departing from jazz) the Avo Expressions Limited Edition 2024 takes an unexpected turn toward hip-hop. Expressions was created in collaboration with rapper and DJ D-Nice. Retailers can expect the cigar to ship by April 18.
Topped with a tightly coiled pigtail cap, Avo Expressions Limited Edition 2024 comes in one size, a toro measuring 6 1/2 inches by 50 ring gauge, and has a suggested retail price of $18. The blend consists of an Ecuadoran wrapper atop a Mexican San Andrés binder that holds together a mix of Dominican and Pennsylvanian filler. According to Davidoff, the Dominican filler is a proprietary hybrid tobacco that’s spent some additional time aging inside a Bourbon cask. The cigar is intended to be medium in body. Production is limited to 6,900 boxes of 15 cigars.
D-Nice is a record producer, rapper and DJ who got his start in the mid-1980s as part of the hip-hop group Boogie Down Productions. Each wooden box reflects the collaboration with etchings on the lid resembling a DJ’s turntable.
Like most Avo cigars, Expressions Limited Edition 2024 is made in the Dominican Republic at the O.K. Cigars factory and distributed by Davidoff of Geneva.
At the time this story was originally reported, the release date for Avo Expressions was expected to be in June but was later pushed back to April.
