Laudisi Enterprises, a company that specializes in pipes and pipe tobacco, has expanded into the cigar market with its acquisition of boutique cigarmaker Caldwell Cigar Co. Laudisi is the parent of Smokingpipes.com, Kapp & Peterson, Laudisi Distribution Group and Cornell & Diehl. Laudisi Distribution Group began handling fulfillment of Caldwell and Lost & Found cigar orders to retailers and distribution on March 8 after the deal was signed on February 9.

“We have been more than fortunate to have had an amazing first 10 years,” co-founder Robert Caldwell said in a press release. “As we enter our next decade, we want to build on our rookie season with new partners that can help us continue to build and grow on a stronger foundation. Laudisi has everything that we need to guarantee our continued success.”

Co-founders Robert Caldwell and Juan Jaramillo will stay onboard as both shareholders and part of the senior management team. Caldwell will serve as vice president of Caldwell Cigar Co. and focus on branding, marketing and product development. Jamarillo has been appointed Caldwell’s director of cigar operations and will serve as liaison with factory partners and handle logistics.

Part of the deal includes Lost & Found, a collaboration between Caldwell, Tony Bellato, owner of La Barba Cigar Ltd., and designer Jaclyn Sears.

“Ultimately, we all agreed that the exciting and most important bit was to allow Robert to focus on what he does best—creating cigars and brands that captivate smokers all over the world. Everyone on both sides of this deal places a huge emphasis on Robert and Juan ing Laudisi as the key to Caldwell’s and Lost & Found’s future success,” Laudisi’s vice president for retail Shane Ireland stated.

of the deal have not been disclosed.

Caldwell’s portfolio includes brands such as No. 14 Cigar of 2023.

Caldwell Cigar Co. and Lost & Found will be part of the Laudisi booth at the 2024 PCA trade show in Las Vegas from March 22 to 25.
