Coming Soon: Oliva Serie Vs Made in Miami

The Oliva Serie V cigar is the top-of-the-line cigar from Oliva Cigar Co. Up until now they have all been made in Nicaragua, but soon cigar lovers will be able to smoke an Oliva Serie V rolled in Miami.
Oliva, which makes its headquarters in Miami Lakes, Florida, recently moved into a new Miami facility. Next month it will begin making preparations to roll cigars in that new facility.
"We moved in about a month ago. We will begin setting up the rolling room in January," said Jose Oliva, president of the company.
The Nicaraguan Oliva Serie V brand is made by only 22 workers, who are paid a salary, not by the cigar, as are other factory workers. "Serie V remains special because of the attention to detail and the limited number of cigars made each year," said Oliva. An Oliva Serie V has made Cigar Aficionado's Top 25 list for four years in a row, from 2007 to 2010, the most current list published. The Miami Serie V will have some nice touches making it different from the Nicaragua version. The company will list production totals, who made the smoke, how long it was aged, as well as other details.
