Cuban Cohiba Novedosos To Premiere In Spain

As the summer comes to a close, the Cohiba Novedosos will be premiering in Spain on September 21 at the patio gardens of Madrid’s Garment Museum (known in Spain as the Museo del Traje de Madrid).
First shown at the Cohiba was made exclusively for La Casa del Habano and Habanos Specialist retail shops.
Each cigar is affixed with a secondary band to signify its shop-exclusive status, but the presentation is also quite unusual, not just for Cohiba but for Cuban cigars in general. Boxes of Novedosos are finished in a glossy shade of black and stylized with carved waffle patterns similar to the rows of squares found on Cohiba bands. It’s a novel approach to packaging for Cuba, and no surprise that Novedosos translates to “novelties” in Spanish.
There’s no word on pricing or when the rest of the world will start to see these Cohibas, but the event won’t be the first time a new size is being released via premier party. On July 12, the new Hoyo de Monterrey Escogidos were introduced at a dinner in Warsaw last September.
