Drew Estate Releases Herrera Esteli Lanceros
The small gauge cometh. Drew Estate announced it is expanding availability of its Herrera Esteli Connecticut Broadleaf Lancero Tienda Exclusiva, a lengthy, wrapper-prominent cigar that was initially launched four years ago as a store exclusive.
Wrapped in Connecticut broadleaf, the Nicaraguan smoke blends a Brazilian Mata Fina binder with a mix of Nicaraguan filler. Herrera Esteli Connecticut Broadleaf Lancero Tienda Exclusiva will be sold in 15-count boxes with a listing price of about $12.50 per cigar.
“There is always a challenge to blending lanceros,” said Drew Estate’s master blender, Willy Herrera, in a press release “Sure, you have amazing broadleaf that’s going to really provide that burst of rich flavor, but the trick is how you bunch the filler leaves in a way that provides the complexity, so the cigar doesn’t become one dimensional.”
The lanceros begin shipping in September and will be sold exclusively through Drew Diplomat Retailers.
