Eiroa Dark Arriving at Retail this Month

CLE Cigar Co., known for its the Eiroa family farm. The cigar will begin shipping to retailers later this month.
“The Dark will arrive [at cigar shops] within the next two weeks,” brand owner Christian Eiroa told Cigar Aficionado.
According to the company, the Eiroa Dark is named for its high-priming tobacco leaves, which are harvested from high up on the tobacco plant. CLE says that after fermentation, the leaves have a rich, dark hue. The tobacco in Eiroa Dark is also fermented for two to three years for more body and strength, as opposed to the tobacco within CLE and Eiroa, which is aged for four to five years.
The wrapper, binder and filler tobacco of Eiroa Dark all hail from Honduras. The cigar will launch in three sizes, each named after their ring gauge and length dimensions: 50x5 ($12.75); 54x6 ($13.75); and 60x6 ($14.75). Eiroa dark ships in 20-count boxes.
The cigars are rolled at Eiroa’s CLE Factory in Honduras.
