Eladio Diaz Celebrates 70 Years With Anniversary Cigar

Called the Eladio Diaz 70 Aniversario, the new cigar celebrates Diaz’s 70th birthday and is made at his Tabacalera Diaz Cabrera factory. The cigar is intended for the European market and consists of an Ecuadoran wrapper, Mexican binder and five different types of Dominican tobacco in the filler. It measures 7 inches long by 52 ring gauge and comes in 14-count boxes. Only 1,400 boxes are being produced.
As for exact tobacco varietals, Diaz is keeping that a secret, but allows that the cigar is blended to be medium-to-full bodied in strength. The price isn’t being revealed yet either, although it will be when the cigar goes on display at InterTabac in September.
