Favorites Of The Stars

What films do the stars enjoy? We reached out to a host of familiar faces (many who have appeared in the pages of Cigar Aficionado), an eclectic mix of actors, sports stars, producers, cigarmakers, chefs and others to find out their favorites. For those who work in film, we asked them to chose a movie that they did not perform in or work on.
For some, the question was impossible to answer. “It’s a little bit like asking me who my favorite child is: I love them all,” said legendary director Francis Ford Coppola. “As for my favorite movie, I probably have 100 of them I like equally.” Comedian Dan Aykroyd also couldn’t narrow it down to one.
“This is a killer of a question. It’s hard for me to pick just one,” said actor Paul Giamatti. “And it changes all the time.” He listed several films by Stanley Kubrick, and Rosemary’s Baby among ones that vie for his crown, and said “but there’s a million more,” before naming his absolute best. (See following pages.)
