First Cuban Cuaba Regional Edition Goes to Asia Pacific Market

For the first time in the brand’s history, a Cuaba has been released as a Regional Edition cigar, and it was made exclusively for the Asia Pacific market. Called the Cuaba APAC, this long perfecto from Cuba measures 6 1/4 inches by 47 ring gauge. These double-tapered figurados are known as Tacos in Cuban cigar factories.
The Cuaba APAC cigars come in 10-count boxes and retail for HK$318 per smoke, or about $41, which amounts to approximately $410 for a box.
The Cuaba brand is a series of shaped perfectos and figurados that range from the four-inch-long limited-edition Cuaba cigar to celebrate the milestone.
The Cuaba APAC shares its dimensions with the regular-production Partagás Presidente and the newly released Ramon Allones Perfectos, a Regional Edition that launched in Mexico yesterday.
Like all Cuban cigars in the Asia Pacific region, Cuaba APACs are distributed by Pacific Cigar Co. Ltd., which covers most of Southeast Asia, including Japan, Malaysia, South Korea, Vietnam, New Zealand, Australia and Hong Kong.
