Gellis Family Piece Unique Shipping Now

It’s a month behind schedule, as Piece Unique from Gellis Family Cigars was supposed to ship in early November, but the new cigar started heading out to retailers yesterday. For those unfamiliar with the term, “piece unique” often refers to one-of-a-kind timepieces typically aimed at the most discerning, and usually wealthiest, collectors of high-end watches. Intrigued by this concept, Kyle Gellis of Warped Cigars created a brand of the same name and a similar concept.
The Piece Unique is certainly more than just one single cigar, but Gellis says it’s being made with a one-time blend that will not be replicated in the future. The limited-edition Piece Unique consists of an Ecuadoran Connecticut shade wrapper, Nicaraguan binder and fillers from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. The cigars are rolled in the Dominican Republic at Tabacalera La Isla and, according to Gellis, were aged for one year in Spanish cedar before being boxed.
Piece Unique measures 6 inches by 52 ring gauge, comes packaged in 15-count boxes and has a suggested retail price of $40 per cigar. Only 500 boxes are being produced.
Although Piece Unique is sold under the Gellis Family Cigars banner, it’s distributed by Warped Cigars.
