Illusione’s New Look

Candela—will all have the same new, updated packaging and bands. Each will be color-coded to differentiate the lines.
The black gothic lettering and spartan white bands that have adorned Illusione cigars since the brand debuted in 2006 will now be far more complex and encoded with symbolism, such as the all-seeing Eye of Providence. Depending on the brand, each box will also be assigned a round seal to reflect the line.
Although the packaging is changing, Giolito assures that the tobacco blends have not, and that the new designs also give the series better brand continuity.
This change will affect other Giolito lines as well. His Singulare series has already undergone a change, and Giolito tells Cigar Aficionado that he’s working on changing the design of his Epernay brand.
Samples of the new packaging are being shown at the PCA trade show but Giolito doesn’t expect the new boxes to be on the market until early next year.
