Joya de Nicaragua Marks 20 Years of the Antaño Brand with Gran Reserva Gran Toro

In what could be called a special edition of a special edition, the new Joya de Nicaragua Antaño Gran Reserva GT20 is a single-size toro that’s made with the same blend as the previous Antaño Gran Reserva, only with older tobaccos.
The Antaño Gran Reserva GT20 was created to celebrate 20 years of the Antaño 1970 brand, which debuted at the 2001 RTDA trade show (now called the PCA). In 2005, returned as regular-production brand. Now, the Gran Reserva GT20 features the same blend with older tobaccos that Joya de Nicaragua says have been “aged for more than five years.”
At 6 inches by 52 ring gauge, the box-pressed Gran Toro will retail for $9.50 and ship in 20-count boxes once it starts to reach cigar shops this August. The company intends the Gran Toro to be a regular-production size.
