Large, Bargain Torch Lighter From Palió
Palió recently started shipping a line of extra-large, bargain-priced torch lighters called the Palió Veneto Quad Lighter suitable for outfitting a man cave or cigar lounge.
The lighters are simple and effective. And they’re big. At 5 1/2 inches high, these are meant for tables, or perhaps for the golf bag, and they fit quite easily in the hand. You could theoretically put one in your pocket, but they’d better be large pockets. Each lighter throws a huge, quadruple flame arranged in a diamond pattern. The action is solid, but what really impressed us is the suggested retail price of $30.
The butane tank is also very large. The company says it can light 150 cigars when full, and the transparent shell allows for you to check the level of butane with ease. Its cap doubles as a cigar rest, similar to the Palió cutter, which can be used to hold a cigar as well.
This isn’t the kind of lighter that will be a family heirloom, as many of the components are plastic, but it’s effective, it’s a smart buy and it comes in a choice of five colors: black, clear, red, green and blue.
