Limited-Edition Cigar From Luciano And Plasencia Shipping Next Week

Fiat Lux brand called Fiat Lux Limited Edition Tenebrus. This is the first Luciano brand not rolled in Nicaragua. The cigars, which were previewed at the PCA trade show in Las Vegas, are expected to start shipping next week.
“We are very pleased to welcome Luciano and his family to produce some of their brands in Honduras,” said Plasencia Cigars CEO Nestor Andrés Plasencia in a press statement.
This is a one-size smoke, a Toro measuring 6 1/2 inches by 52 ring gauge, and it’s made with two wrapper leaves. One is Ecuador Sumatra, the same one that covers the core Fiat Lux line, and the other is a Habano leaf harvested from Plasencia’s San Augustin farm. Inside is Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos, and the blend is intended to be medium to full in of strength.
Tenebrus is the Latin word for “darkness.” Production is limited to 1,500 boxes, each containing 10 cigars. It has a suggested retail price of $22 per cigar, and a portion of the proceeds will go to the Plasencia’s “Souls from the Earth” Foundation in honor of Conrado Plasencia, who ed away in September.
While this is the first Luciano to be made in Honduras, it won’t be the last. Production of the original Fiat Lux line has been moved to Tobacos de Oriente. Luciano Cigars said Plasencia will be producing another cigar for the company later this year.
