Montecristo 1935 Anniversary Humidor Celebrates 88 Years Of The Brand

A limited-edition humidor filled with 80 Montecristo 1935 Anniversary Nicaragua cigars will be heading to retailers next month, and it includes a new figurado shape made especially for this package.
The Montecristo 1935 Anniversary Tesoro de Oro, which translates to “treasure of gold,” is a reference to the treasure discovered by Edmundo Dantes, the protagonist from the classic novel The Count of Monte Cristo. Constructed with sliding trays, compartments and a cedar interior, this double-doored cabinet humidor is lacquered in a high-gloss piano finish. It’s built to accommodate two Boveda humidity packs, which are included.
Inside are 80 cigars, 30 of which are only available with the humidor. The first 50 cigars are Montecristo 1935 Anniversary Nicaragua No. 2s, box-pressed pirámides made by No. 2 cigar of 2021 in Cigar Aficionado’s annual Top 25 list. The remaining 30 cigars are box-pressed figurados, a new size to the line that isn’t otherwise commercially available. Called the Aniversario, the figurado (above) measures 6 inches by 55 ring gauge at its fattest point and is made with the same all-Nicaraguan blend as the rest of the line.
The humidor was created to celebrate the 88th anniversary of the Montecristo brand and has a suggested retail price of $5,000. Only 300 are being produced.
