The Netflix megahit “Stranger Things” finally returns with its fourth season on May 27, and that means actor David Harbour is coming back to the small screen in the role that put him on the map, portraying tough guy with a heart Chief Jim Hopper.
The third season of “Stranger Things” was a blockbuster, watched by 64 million households in one month, according to Netflix. The season finale aired in July 2019, and the pandemic has long delayed the much-awaited Season Four. Harbour, 47, has kept busy with other roles, ing Scarlett Johansson in the Marvel film Black Widow, and he is set to play Santa Claus in the comedy Violent Night, opening in December.
And of course, there are the cigars, which he has enjoyed now for roughly 15 years. He got a taste for Cuban cigars while shooting the Bond film Quantum of Solace in Central America. A scene called for cigars, so copious boxes of Cubans were brought to the set, something one would expect on a movie with a $200 million budget. “We all got a bunch of boxes of them,” he says.
Robusto-sized Cubans are his go-to, particularly the Partagás Serie D No. 4 or, sometimes, the Romeo y Julieta Short Churchill.
