Plasencia Celebrates Year Of The Snake

Eight long, thin cigars and a culebra. It’s a veritable viper den of smokes and that’s how Plasencia Cigars is acknowledging Year of the Snake for the 2025 Chinese Lunar New Year. The idea is quite clever when you consider that the word culebra translates to “snake” in Spanish.
In cigar , a Plasencia family in Nicaragua and the cigars are made at the Plasencia factory in Estelí. Only 6,000 boxes are being produced with half of them allocated for the U.S. market.
The Lanceros have a suggested retail price of $49 each. If you opt for the Culebra instead, it will cost $98 for the two slender cigars. The entire box will retail for $490.
“El Año de la Culebra Edición Limitada 2025 is a tribute to the Chinese Lunar Year, featuring elegant Lanceros and the unique Culebra,” says Nestor Andrés Plasencia, fifth-generation family member and company owner. “Each cigar reflects the artistry and precision of our master rollers.”
The cigars are expected to start shipping later this month.
