Romeo y Julieta Bed of Roses Humidor With 24 Special Smokes

A limited-edition humidor from Altadis U.S.A. is heading to retailers in March and it comes with two dozen Churchill-sized Romeo y Julieta cigars created especially for this release.
Called the Romeo y Julieta Bed of Roses humidor, this rectangular cabinet stands 20 inches high and gleams with a cherry-red piano finish. Inside are 24 Churchills that measure 7 inches by 50 ring gauge. The cigars consist solely of Nicaraguan tobacco and were produced by Plasencia Cigars in Estelí. This particular blend is unique to the Bed of Roses project and can only be obtained by purchasing this humidor, which can hold up to 100 cigars.
According to Rafael Nodal, head of product capability for Altadis U.S.A., the cigars contain tobacco that he describes as being especially aged.
The Romeo y Julieta Bed of Roses humidor will be previewed at the Tobacco Plus Expo trade show in Las Vegas next week before it ships to retailers in March. It’s slated to retail for $2,000, and only 100 humidors are being produced.
The name “Bed of Roses” is a reference to the flowers that can be seen blooming around Juliet’s balcony on the illustration adorning every box of Romeo y Julieta cigars.
