Xikar Unveils Line Of Expensive Cigar Cutters

Cigar accessory company Xikar is partnering once again with renowned jeweler Jacob & Co. to develop Xikar X-Clusive, a series of luxurious, made-to-order cigar cutters featuring custom enamel finishes and luxurious appointments such as precious stones or metals. Most retail for thousands of dollars, with one particularly luxurious item selling for $160,000.
"It's our pleasure to continue working with Jacob & Co. to introduce innovative products that consumers have never dreamt of or seen before,” says Michael Giordano, founder and chief executive officer of Quality Importers Trading Co., who owns and distributes Xikar. He called the accessories “heirlooms intended to be ed down through generations.”
The main items for X-Clusive are the Constellation and Geometric cutters, each of which is available in two finishes for their sterling silver bodies. The Constellation cutter is available in either black or blue enamel finishes with sterling silver detailing reminiscent of the cosmos, whereas the Geometric cutter is available in either a yellow to burgundy sunburst or solid sterling silver finish. Both Geometric cutters feature an ombre pattern that gives the appearance of a textured surface. These cutters have a suggested retail price of $16,000.
The crown jewel of the series is the Dueling Dragons Chasing Flaming Pearl Cigar Cutter. Retailing for a staggering $160,000, this cutter features an 18K gold body and handles, the latter of which are crafted in the likeness of two Chinese dragons with ruby eyes atop the two steel blades. In the body are more than 1,900 rubies, and at the top is a golden flame set with a pearl.
That particular cutter was made before by Xikar and Jacob; it debuted for $150,000 in December, 2020.
To celebrate the launch of this series, Xikar partnered with La Aurora S.A. to host an event on August 12 at the St. Regis Hotel in Bal Harbour, Florida. The evening included a silent auction benefiting SIDES, a charity which s families affected by Ewing's Sarcoma and other pediatric cancers and spreading awareness. The evening featured cigar rollers making cigars and the La Aurora Preferidos Hors D’Age 2021 Toro was provided for guests of the event.
