Zino Nicaragua Gets Short, Pre-Cut Size

Convenience is becoming an ever-increasing selling point in today’s hectic world, so diminutive smokes are expected to start shipping to retailers August 3.
"The launch of our new pre-cut Half Corona within our Zino Nicaragua line is a logical consequence of changing lifestyles and an increased demand for flexibility and convenience from our aficionados. Our target consumers value spontaneity in their on-the-go lifestyle,” said Edward Simon, chief marketing officer at Oettinger Davidoff in a press release. “The pre-cut allows them to go about their day with the option of enjoying the cigar whenever and wherever they want, as no cutter is required.”
Measuring 4 inches by 44 ring gauge the Zino Nicaragua Half Corona consists of an Ecuador Connecticut wrapper, Nicaraguan binder and mix of Dominican, Honduran and Nicaraguan filler. It ships in tins of five and has a suggested retail price of $30 per tin, which works out to $6 per cigar.
Zino Nicaragua is made at the Diadema Cigars de Honduras S.A. factory in Honduras. The Half Corona brings the line up to five sizes. The others are the Gordo—which was released last year, Robusto, Short Torpedo and Toro.
