The Edge
When Rocky Patel first released The Edge in 2004, the concept was simple: a roughly hewn wooden box that held 100 unbanded cigars. And they retailed for only $5 each. It was offered in Corojo or Maduro, came in only two sizes and retailers had to purchase them in 100-count chests. Edge was an instant commercial success, spawning new sizes, new varieties and even new packaging. The brand has been expanded with many lines, each named after the wrapper type they use.
