Tasting Note

When Caldwell Cigar Co. released Long Live the Queen in 2022, Ace of Hearts was the only limited-edition size. It was also the highest-scoring size in a vertical brand tasting conducted by Cigar Insider, our twice-monthly newsletter. But in October, Caldwell put it into regular production on of popular demand. Now, the box-pressed smoke is more widely available. It’s made in the Dominican Republic at El Maestro, a factory owned by William Ventura. The blend is a tour of tobaccos from all over the world, and they get along famously, producing notes of coffee and leather sweetened by hints of almond, caramel and chocolate.
