cigars are typically made with tobaccos harvested from different years, but the all-Honduran Plasencia Cosecha 151 line is made entirely of leaves from one particular season that the Plasencia family felt was exceptional. This vintage-specific blend comes from a 2016-2017 harvest, which marks the Plasencias’ 151st since 1865, according to family records. La Musica consists mostly of Criollo ’98 tobacco, and every puff of this robusto is like taking a bite of Christmas fruitcake as a chorus of baking spices, candied fruit, molasses and walnut notes all harmonize leaving a rum-barrel finish to bring the whole holiday effect home.
