As the presidential bid for the White House has concluded, so has the bidding for a humidor made to resemble the president’s home. The Daniel Marshall limited-edition White House Humidor—filled with 300 Arturo Fuente cigars—was auctioned for charity in October for a quarter of a million dollars at the home of Arnold Schwarzenegger in Brentwood, California.

Conceived by Marshall and Schwarzenegger, the humidor is a 1:60 scale replica of the actual White House based on original blueprints from 1791, but this particular edition has been updated to include the South Portico, which was added to the front of the building in 1824.

Under the White House roof are 300 Arturo Fuente cigars in both Churchill and Robusto formats, featuring aged wrappers from Chateau de la Fuente, the farm in Bonao where Fuente Fuente OpusX wrappers are grown.

But the humidor was only part of the presidential package. The lot came with six oil-on-canvas portraits of six U.S. presidents—Washington, Lincoln, Roosevelt (Teddy), Kennedy, Reagan and Bush Sr.—which are also printed on the cigar bands. It also included a copy of the coffee table book, The White House—An Historic Guide Deluxe Edition, gifted to Marshall by the White House Historical Association (a $250 value).

Of the 10 humidors made, one has been sold to Schwarzenegger (outside the auction), one is being kept by Marshall and another is intended to be donated to The White House. The rest are planned for collectors or future auctions and all will include the presidential portraits. Each humidor was made in California at the Daniel Marshall workshop and took one year to complete.

Proceeds from the October auction benefit the After School All Stars Charity, an organization that provides free after-school programs for children in need.
